Volunteering Outdoors
Single-Day Volunteer Stewardship Opportunities
Volunteers conduct vital work on the ground to heal, protect, discover, experience, and connect with the outdoors. Together we can keep our public lands and wilderness areas maintained and sustainable for all to enjoy for years to come!
Our partners offer volunteer opportunities for every skill level. Engaging Communities projects included picking up trash, pulling fence, naturalizing old roads, planting seedlings, monitoring wilderness, removing invasive plants, restoring damaged wild lands, digging post holes, and improving infrastructure like trails, designated routes, wilderness boundary barriers and signage. We accomplished a lot, but the work continues.

Through environmental education efforts, the Get Outdoors Nevada team is focused on inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards while supporting the needs of our state’s diverse youth, especially those who are at-risk and may face barriers to experiencing the outdoors. Get Outdoors Nevada is committed to engaging both educators and learners in pursuing a collective path toward preserving Nevada’s public lands, urban trails, and community parks.
