Multi-Day Volunteer Stewardship Opportunities

Do you love the outdoors and volunteering? Do you enjoy challenging yourself to try new experiences? Try an immersive, multi-day volunteer experience.

Each year, our partner, Friends of Nevada Wilderness, hosts multi-day camping, restoration, and education extravaganzas on Nevada’s beautiful Public Lands. Their goal is to foster the spirit of stewardship by engaging in beginner-friendly projects and providing training to help you feel confident in you volunteer abilities. Also known as alternative breaks, these multi-day programs engage participants in meaningful, on-the-ground work with other community members to heal, protect, and explore our shared wild places

No Experience Necessary

Alternative Breaks are fun, rewarding, and a great way to meet new friends. Alternative Break trips are open to people of all outdoor skill levels. Beginners are encouraged to attend and discover your “inner-outdoors” when we cover camping basics, hiking tips, and more.
