Walking Box Ranch Groundskeeping

We’re partnering with the Friends of Walking Box Ranch on a morning of ranch stewardship! Volunteer for the Groundskeeping Team and assist in clearing the corral area of weeds and other undesirable material. If you enjoy gardening-type activities this is a great volunteer opportunity.

At 9am we’ll gather for volunteer sign-in plus an intro to the work being done and a brief safety talk. Volunteers will break out into teams and take care of business for 2-3 hours. Come in sturdy, closed-toed shoes, clothing that protects you from the sun and potentially pointy plant life, and bring a water bottle. We’ll bring gloves and other protective gear, tools, spare water, and snacks.

Afterwards there will be opportunity to tour the ranch house and grounds and learn more about the famous Hollywood couple that built the ranch as well as early ranching in Southern Nevada.
