Mt. Charleston Visitor Center Trails Cleanup for National Trails Day

Join us a on Saturday, June 4th from 9am-11am for a special volunteer celebration of National Trails Day at the Mt. Charleston Visitor Center. Volunteers will be removing trash and debris from the visitor center trails located just behind the site. Parking is available on site at 2525 Kyle Canyon Rd, Mt Charleston, 89124.

Registered volunteers will receive a meeting spot map and event details a few days before the event. All ages are welcome, minors without an adult guardian present will need to bring a signed waiver. Waivers will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.

We will provide all the tools and supplies required for the event including gloves and trash grabbers. Please monitor your own health, if you are experiencing any symptoms of an illness or don’t feel well, we ask that you reschedule your volunteer shift with us. If you are feeling well and symptom free, wear closed toed shoes, bring plenty of drinking water for yourself, and plan ahead for warm seasonal temperatures.

We continue to make the safety of all our volunteers and staff members the number one priority. Get Outdoors Nevada staff is up to date on all recommended Covid-19 vaccinations and will practice social distancing during outdoor activities. We will continue to follow local health data and support the recommendations of the state and city municipalities for safety protocols and guidelines.
