Mt Charleston Day Trips Workshop 4: Trip Safety

We are excited to partner with Go Mt. Charleston! for our next workshop series. We are organizing things a bit differently this time. Instead of spreading things out over several weeks, we have booked a group campsite and space to hold workshops to help plan day trips on one weekend. You can come for all of the workshops or just a few. Our last workshop of the weekend will be our Trip Safety. We will cover how to prepare for a trip to make sure that you have what you need when the unexpected happens. We will review the 10+ essentials, but focus on handling medical information (or not) and building out a first aid kit that you get to take with you. We will also look over a variety of first aid kits on the market to help folks think about whether or not they need more for their groups and discuss what items often need to be added to commercial kits and how to obtain further training to keep you and your participants safe.

This workshop will be in the Education Center next to the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway Center.
