Lovell Canyon Cleanup

Join us for a very special cleanup at Lovell Canyon on Saturday, December 10th from 9am-12pm. Registered volunteers will be emailed a meeting spot map.

Lovell Canyon is located in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, southwest of Las Vegas. This area is polluted with lead bullets from years of illegal shooting that has contaminated the soil. Volunteers are needed to help us protect the land and air by removing litter from the area. All tools and supplies for the cleanup will be provided, including gloves and trash grabbers. Space is limited, registered volunteers will be emailed a meeting spot map. All ages are welcome!

Please monitor your own health, if you are experiencing any symptoms of an illness or don’t feel well, we ask that you reschedule your volunteer shift with us. If you are feeling well and symptom free, wear closed toed shoes, bring plenty of drinking water for yourself.

We continue to make the safety of all our volunteers and staff members the number one priority. Get Outdoors Nevada staff is up to date on all recommended Covid-19 vaccinations. We will continue to follow local health data and support the recommendations of the state and city municipalities for safety protocols and guidelines.
